Project Summary
Every culture on the planet has a Creation story, an explanation of how the universe, and humans, came into existence. And every honest human will admit to have wrestled at some point in their life with the nagging curious questions, “Where did it all come from and what’s it all for?” We may be able to manipulate the building blocks of the universe, ie DNA editing, manipulation of elements into new materials, space travel. However, to date, humans have never created life out of absolute nothingness.
This immersive experience is an attempt to do what only art has the power to do: create conversation without saying a word, a pause for reflection as we rush off into the unknown we call Future.
The artist invites visitors to silently walk through seven circular interconnected rooms, each 14 feet in diameter and 14 feet tall. The walls of the rooms are constructed of free-hanging silk art panels, creating a living, breathing environment. Each space builds upon the previous in form and color palette resulting a final expression of completeness.
This project will open Summer 2027 in Muncie, Indiana with free entry and accessibility for whosoever wishes to experience it.
